Questions

Do I need to sign up?

No. You can play the computer, a friend by link and unrated quick games as a guest. Sign in with your email to get a rating, a profile and your game history on every device.

Is it free?

Yes. Every game is free, and there is no playing for money on the site.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. The site works in your phone's browser, so there is no app to install.

What is the difference between long nardy and backgammon?

In long nardy checkers never hit each other, and a single checker already holds a point. Both players start from one point, the head, and move the same way round the board. In short backgammon a lone checker can be hit, and it takes two checkers to hold a point. More on long nardy and short backgammon.

How is the rating worked out?

Long nardy and short backgammon have separate ratings, counted only from games against real opponents. Your rating shows from your first rated game. How ratings work.
